High School is Over… Now What?
You made it, finally done with your national exams! You must feel on top of the world right now. You are stepping into adulthood, the life you have been dreaming about for so long, is just beginning. You know what you want to do, but what about those dreams that feel a bit too far-fetched?
Perhaps, lurking under all the excitement is pressure. Everyone’s asking questions: “What’s next? What do you want to be? What are you going to study?” Fear and uncertainty are normal, but here are some tips to make it a little easier for you!
You are young, energetic, and filled with potential. Take time to relax and celebrate, but do not forget that this is also the perfect time to explore. Invest time in new hobbies, environments, and do something different. Use the internet to your advantage!
First things first, a new hobby is a great place to start. Even as you socialize and take things easy, you can try activities such as learning a new language or even coding! You can do your research online based on your interests and grab a Kasuku Notebook and jot down those ideas and track your progress.
Before you head into the employment space, it’s definitely a good idea to gain some experience beforehand. You can take a short course or even apply for an internship. This gives you a glimpse into what your university life and career course will look like! Remember to file those certificates in your Kasuku Box File and stay prepared!
And to wrap things up, volunteering is a wonderful way not only to give back to the community, but to also gain perspective in life. There are so many schools and homes to help out in and it is a wonderful way to spend your time.
As you plan the next steps of your academic journey, remember that Kasuku is here to help you grow and soar!
