Create An African Superhero With Kasuku!
Okay parents! We have something fun for the kids!
We can all attest that while growing up, there was not much TV to watch. Now that we are in the digital age, we question why our children spend a significant amount of time on screens and playing video games. With Kasuku’s help, we can change that by creating not just any ordinary superhero, but an AFRICAN SUPERHERO of their choice!
Before we get started, make sure you have the necessary stationery such as the Kasuku Sketchpad, Carioca Markers, Nataraj pencils, rubbers and sharpeners. With these, your child’s creative juices can start flowing!
First, let’s talk COLOUR! As previously discussed in our blogs, colours have different meanings and significance. Will you pick orange and yellow to represent the character’s happiness and joy? Or green and blue to showcase earthly powers? It’s all up to you!
Next, you have to decide what powers your superhero has. Can they teleport or fly? Do they have superspeed? Maybe X-ray vision? The possibilities are endless!
Now, the moment we have been waiting for… their NAME. It would be a good idea to come up with a Swahili name to relate it to the African theme. Will it be Nguvu because of their physical strength? Perhaps Cheke, derived from Chekesha, because they are funny and witty? Safari because they can teleport and love nature? You can have lots of fun with this.
But wait. There’s more! We have the surface-level colours, character traits and names. We can go as far as giving the character a DESCRIPTION. For example: “Safari is a loveable person who is always on a mission to save the animal kingdom, people and mother nature. She strives to catch people who litter and pollute the environment. Her goal is to keep the environment super safe and clean for all living creatures.”
There you have it! This is just a guide, and we would love to see the imaginative ideas your child comes up with.
